CECILIA’S EXPERTISE

Cecilia handles all personal injury cases, with a focus on:

  • Title IX (improper student-teacher relationships);
  • Medical Negligence
  • Trucking
  • Products Liability
  • Workplace/Construction/Oilfield Injuries
  • Slip and Fall Injuries
  • Motor Vehicle Crashes

I have litigated injury cases for 19 years, first defending cases for insurance companies for 12 years, then representing the community and bringing claims against those companies and insurance providers since. This specific experience allows me to understand the mindset of opposing counsel and insurance adjusters. I look at all sides of the case and understand how to develop arguments against the defense and how insurance companies evaluate cases.

My experience gives me a unique perspective on how to evaluate and present each case I handle. I also have strong attention to detail, knowledge of the law and rules of procedure and evidence. I’m always prepared in court!

I was born and raised in the Rio Grande Valley, growing up and still living in rural San Isidro, Texas, with my husband and son. My true passion is family - just like Veronica. As a wife, mother, and former teacher, I understand the importance of family and children both inside and outside the legal field.  I draw on my life and legal experience to provide compassionate representation for all of my clients.

In my spare time, I volunteer at our local Catholic church and spend time working on my ranch. Like Veronica, I also love to travel with my family.

Clients have used words such as motivated, friendly, experienced, and comforting to describe me. Some have also said there is ease and some silliness when dealing with me.
